INEC had on Aug. 16 declared the by-election inconclusive following the cancellation of results from the five polling units.
Mr Olumekun revealed that INEC would begin releasing weekly updates from next week.
Badina Garba of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 2,069 to come a distant third.
The governor alleged that the APC governorship candidate in Anambra took a truckload of police and thugs around polling units, beating up people.
“This is not an election,” the APC party chairman emphasised.
PDP described the arrest as sheer intimidation and harassment allegedly backed by the security agencies.
BASIEC hailed Governor Bala Mohammed for demonstrating his commitment to upholding the rule of law.
The bye-elections, scheduled for Saturday, will be held in 16 constituencies across 12 states of the federation.
Nigerians are currently denied standing to participate in disputes involving the identity or determination of the person or party on whom they have conferred that mandate.
Mr Sani also advocated for a review of the section of the constitution that empowers the president to appoint the IGP.
