The commission said adequate preparations had been made to transport materials and training of ad hoc staff to avoid a repeat of the sabotage witnessed during the 2023 general elections.
The warning followed what the regime termed “unguaurded incendiary remarks” against the federal government and President Bola Tinubu.
Four years after Keyamo’s statement, it backfired when Chicago State University (CSU), in a deposition, confirmed Mr Tinubu submitted a forged certificate to INEC.
He said that 16 political parties had fielded candidates for the election.
The repudiation of Mr Tinubu’s certificate — the only academic qualification he presented to the electoral office — came at a deposition of school officials on Tuesday in Chicago.
“Africa, for some reason, is attracted to men and women who can’t serve and when they are not served they complain.”
Consequently, the tribunal arrived at a decision, deeming the petition as legally incompetent due to this fundamental flaw.
“I have been concentrating on my campaigns because the people of Imo want change,” said Mr Achonu.
“I still urge them to bring the ideas in their manifestos for us to develop and make the state prosperous,” he said.

According to him, for the Edo governorship election, the party primaries will be held from February 1 to February 24, 2024.
