Mr Rasheed, who is the son of the late Ogun politician and business tycoon, Buruji Kashamu, won the election, conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday.

Abiodun Orekoya secured 14,256 votes to beat his closest opponent, Adelana Adesegun-Adewale of the Labour Party, who got 4,865 votes.
He said that the electorate and other stakeholders demanded to see the ward collation officer before they would allow the election to commence in Asari-Toru LGA.
Collation was postponed to 5:00 p.m. Sunday to allow for more results to come in.
The incumbent governor scored 9,133 votes to trail his rival Mr Adebutu of the PDP, who polled 12,472 votes.
The governorship election was held on Saturday.
“Like they say, the BVAS don’t have SIM cards and no Wi-Fi services for it to be activated, so how can anybody trust that kind of thing,” he queried.
The former transportation minister alleged a partisan turn of the process leading to the 2023 general elections on Saturday.
A senior military officer and leader of the team, who spoke anonymously, said they were only obeying the movement restriction during the election.
