The police command in Enugu says it has launched a manhunt for gunmen who attacked its Isi-Uzo division in the Ikem community of Isi-Uzo local council.
The national intelligence office said the traditional attire bore colours of the defunct Biafra Republic, which is the subject matter of the IPOB leader’s criminal trial.
Also, 26 alleged sit-at-home enforcers, suspected to be members of IPOB, were arrested on July 9 after a gun duel at a hotel in Owerri.
Some armed men, suspected to be IPOB members, went to Okposi in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state on Monday afternoon and shot sporadically.

The dislodging of the criminal elements was part of steps taken by the police to protect citizens from any form of harassment.

The security personnel converged at the police headquarters in Abakaliki before heading out to different parts of the capital city.
