IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, on Monday, abandoned his earlier plan to call witnesses in his defence.
“I am, therefore, with every sense of responsibility and love, appealing to the leader of this group to rescind his decision to order a sit-at-home.”
The police command in Enugu said it killed an alleged member of the proscribed IPOB and ESN.
“So my prayer to Mr President is that he should give him (Kanu) to us as a gift.”
NANMr Ekpa, purported IPOB prime minister, had ordered all residents of the South-East to stay home for two weeks as a protest to push for the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.

Mr Iwuanyanwu said the security situation in the South-East was very disturbing, adding that there was a very urgent need for a Peace Summit in Igboland.
