Registrar of the Board, Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed this after monitoring the registration in Kano State on Wednesday.
JAMB commenced registration for the 2023 UTME on January 14, to end on February 14.
The Interactive e-Brochure and e-Syllabus System (IBASS) would ensure seamless communication between JAMB, institutions and their regulatory agencies.
The JAMB registrar said the board should be allowed to charge N5,000 registration fee for UTME.
“They have seen that they are repeating the examination, though it costs us a lot of money,” said Mr Oloyede regarding the students sitting the mop-up exam.
JAMB and all the CBT centres were ready to conduct the 2022 main examination from May 6 to May 16, according to the registrar.
JAMB registrar Ishaq Oloyede said the centre has been instructed to refund candidates’ their money.
JAMB warned that it will not extend the period of registration.
“When the person is blacklisted our server will not allow him or her work anywhere related to JAMB.”
The craze for studying medicine, law, accountancy and too much emphasis on academic qualifications are fuelling exam malpractices in Nigeria, says Ishaq Oloyede.
