At the meeting, Mr Lawal directed hundreds of his supporters across Ogun East “and those that believe in him to vote for ADC in this coming Saturday election.”
The appellate court said the trial court lacked the jurisdiction to have entertained the matter in the first instance.
Jimi Lawal is challenging the emergence of Oladipupo Adebutu as the Ogun PDP governorship candidate.
The apex court ordered that the suit instituted by Jimi Lawal, a governorship aspirant, be remitted to the Federal High Court for a fresh trial.
The presiding judge ordered a fresh primary election to be held within the next 14 days.
However, a parallel governorship primary is ongoing at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta.
Mr Lawal, an erstwhile All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain picked up his nomination forms on Thursday in Abuja.
