Mr Jimoh expressed appreciation to Nigerian professionals serving across UN agencies.

According to him, the appointment demonstrates Nigeria’s growing relevance and influence within the multilateral system.
Mr Tinubu has congratulated Mr Ibrahim on his election as chairman of the United Nations General Assembly Fifth Committee on Budget and Administration.
“These are not issues we can resolve with missiles alone. Generational grievances demand wider thinking and deeper engagement,” Mr Ibrahim explained.
Nigeria has canvassed global support for the proposed state police, saying the initiative will improve public trust, boost accountability and enhance internal security nationwide.

Mr Ibrahim said Mr Tinubu met 0.5% cash-to-GDP when he took over power from the late Buhari.
The foreign affairs ministry has conveyed the nominations of the other 62 designated envoys to all the countries concerned.
