They pledged their support for the league on the sidelines of the Nigeria Youth League Gala/Awards Night on Sunday in Abuja.
”The budget is divided into two parts: N9 billion for the Olympics, while over N3 billion has been earmarked for the Paralympics,” the sports minister said.
“The heartwarming exploits of our beloved Super Eagles at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire are another case in point,” said the government.
The Eagles defeated their Ivorian counterparts 2-1 in the quarter-final of the 2013 AFCON in South Africa.
He said Tinubu made the right decision in creating a separate ministry for sports.
The president urged all officials and athletes to compete with the spirit of fairness and togetherness in their quest for honours.
“Going into the next AFCON (2023), we still won’t have any Nigerian official; I am going to interrogate this matter.”
Mr Owan-Enoh said his decision was based on the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu’s public appeal to him.
The court held that the allegation of forgery filed by the plaintiff, John Owan-Enoh, could not be established.
