Ms Ononogbu said PWDs were among the most vulnerable groups affected by oil and gas exploration.
He said JONAPWD will be integrated into agricultural planning, financing, extension, and decision-making in the state.
Mr Ekwelem hailed the Imo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare for its support in promoting the advocacy for PWDs.
Speaking with journalists after her swearing-in, Ms Ojugu reaffirmed her commitment to push for the rights and welfare of PWDs in Edo.
“Any good deed that is done to PWDs is a right because we are also human.”
The group made the call in a press conference in Abuja on the state of affairs of Nigerians with disabilities.
Stakeholders in Bauchi, Dutse and Gombe have advocated the repeal of jumbo allowance for ex-governors, their deputies and other officials in Nigerians.
“This community has further buttressed the fact that there is ability in disability,” said JONAPWD.
Before now, visually impaired persons needed a guide to interpret or help them to thumbprint.
