The convicts are Ridwan Oloyede, Leke Oluwasegun Leke and Seye Ogunsola.
A Magistrate’s Court in Jos, on Monday, sentenced a 23-year-old trader, Ishah Mustapha, to 14 months in prison for stealing a car battery.
“We have read the story by Peoples Gazette on the matter,” Mr Ologunagba said. “It is a big story, and it just broke yesterday…we have to take our time to look into it.”
The judge held that the bank acted on an invalid order made by a magistrate court that lacked the requisite jurisdiction.
Mr Nosakhare was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations after he attempted to flee to Canada.
The defendant, who lives in the Sabuwar Gandu Quarters, Kano, was convicted of kidnapping and culpable homicide.
Police prosecutor earlier said the convict committed the crime on July 29 at Orita-Aperin, Ibadan, Oyo State.
“The judges should desist from performing executive functions assigned to them by the governor of Kano state in courtrooms meant to adjudicate disputes,” the court ruled.
Mr Olukoyede,’s lawyer, Olumide Fusika, SAN, challenged the legal authority of the plaintiff to institute the suit in the first case.
Justice Tijani Abubakar dismissed the PDP’s appeal and its governorship candidate, Saidu Umar.
