According to Mr Mbanaso, Anambra’s judiciary ranks second only to Lagos in the volume of pending high court cases, yet Lagos has about 50 judges compared to Anambra’s 29.
This was noted in a statement by the chapter’s chairman, Idris Adeniran, on Thursday.
According to him, the appointment followed the retirement of Mustapha Hassan-Rumah from service.
“The JPCC found Danmaraya guilty of forging an affidavit, affixing the high court stamp and seal, and inscribing a fake receipt number,” said the judicial commission.
The current system of governance in Rivers is “alien” and “antithetical to our hallowed profession as legal practitioners and adjudicators,” said the chief magistrate.
Mr Eludire said the suspension of the strike was premised on the tripartite agreement between the Osun government and the management of the Osun judiciary and JUSUN.
