The committee said the suspension is aimed at protecting the integrity of the SAN rank.Â
The federal government arraigned the duo before Justice Chizoba Oji on 12 counts of fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud.
Justice Oji then said that the court received a letter from the prosecution requesting an adjournment.
Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan is charged with defaming Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi.
Justice R.O. Ayoola of the Kogi High Court also awarded N10 million against the EFCC.
Justice Chizoba Oji adjourned the matter after counsel for the parties stated their positions on their resolved to explore out-of-court settlement.
“As far as the relationship between the EFCC and the judiciary is concerned, the chairman has been an apostle of the rule of law, due process.”
The court had on November 21, 2018, directed the EFCC to return to an applicant his Range Rover SUV and N40 million.
