Justice Haruna Tsammani on Wednesday said the FCT does not enjoy a special status in that Nigerians residing there are not superior to citizens in other states.
The five-member panel presided over by Justice Haruna Tsammani reserved judgment to a date that will be communicated to parties after parties adopted their final written addresses.
Messrs Abubakar and Obi are praying the court to nullify the election and order a fresh presidential poll, excluding Mr Tinubu, who they argued was, ab initio, not qualified to participate.
Counsel for Messrs Tinubu and Shettima, Wole Olanipekun, SAN, said they were closing their case after the testimony of their sole witness.
One of the documents was the admission letter offered to Mr Tinubu by the university.
Justice Haruna Tsammani, chairman of the five-member panel of the court, adjourned hearing in the petition until Tuesday.
Mr Obi and LP are complainants in the petition marked CA/PEPC/03/2023, challenging the election which brought Mr Tinubu to power on May 29.
The documents were admitted in evidence by the tribunal on Friday.
APM says it will open and close its case in one day with just one witness to call at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).
”Their application is incompetent, and the court lacks the jurisdiction to entertain it, and accordingly, the application is struck out,” it held.
