Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a short ruling, struck out the suits for lack of diligent prosecution.
PDP was seeking his disqualification on the grounds that submission of his INEC Forms EC9 and EC13 did not follow INEC guidelines.
The NNPC counsels were protesting the refusal of Justice Inyang Ekwo to hear only their application for a stay of proceedings in the suit.
Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a judgement, held that the plaintiffs failed to support the suit with credible evidence, hence, the case lacked merit.

Mr Okorocha described the suit as “unlawful, baseless, oppressive and a gross abuse of the process of the court.”
Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a judgement, dismissed the suit for being status barred.
Mr Ekwo declared that given Artie 50 and 5D (4) of the constitution of the PDP, Mr Galadima could not validly contest the position.
“In my opinion, this application is a ruse. It is an attempt to belittle the essence of criminal conviction and to aid the applicant (Maina) to live above the law.”
The court held that there was no constitutional provision for the removal of a serving governor or deputy governor that dumped the political party that sponsored them to power.
