The EFCC said, in returning the case files, its lead counsel cited personal reasons.
The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, on Monday, refused to grant the bail application of disgraced police chief Abba Kyari.
The court ordered Mr Adoke to return his passport within three days of his return to the country.
Abba Kyari also wants the court to direct the NDLEA to tender a written apology to him in two national dailies.
The judge described the plaintiff as a “busy body and meddlesome interloper.”
“No court can stop the impeachment,’’ Mr Bosko told a news conference on Tuesday. He argued that the process was in line with section 188 (5) (7) of the Constitution.
The Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria is the claimant in the case, HPPS Multilinks Services Ltd and the Benue government are first and second respondents.
The judge warned EFCC: “If you fail to show seriousness on the next date of trial, I will strike the charge out.”
On December 7, when the matter came up, Mr Ekwo had refused to vacate the earlier order restraining the federal government from tampering with the states’ funds.
The presiding judge had once threatened to issue a warrant of arrest against the former minister if she failed to appear in court.
