The defendants pleaded not guilty to all the counts.
The federal government is set to arraign six suspected coup plotters. The case is listed as number 14 on Wednesday’s cause list before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik.
The judge vowed not to entertain rascality from any of the lawyers.
Justice Abdulmalik fixed April 16 and April 17 for continuation of trial.
When the case was called on Wednesday, all the parties, except the 2nd respondent (magistrate), were represented in court.
He pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
The police, also in its counter affidavit deposed to by Inspector Ewa Anthony, argued that it had the statutory power to detect, arrest, investigate and prosecute offenders.
Mr Malami had since challenged the anti-graft agency’s civil suit, praying the court to vacate the order.
Mr Malami and his son were directed to deposit their international passports and recent passport photographs with the court.
EFCC, on Friday, re-arraigned former AGF Abubakar Malami, his wife, Asabe Bashir and son, Abdulaziz, on money laundering offences.
