A Kaduna Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered that a 19-year-old teenager, Clement Baba, be given 15 strokes of the cane for stealing a car battery.
The magistrate adjourned the case until Sept. 10 for hearing.
The magistrate, Ibrahim Emmanuel, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum.
Mr Hassan is standing trial for criminal conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor noted that the offence contravened Section 243 of the Penal Code of Kaduna State, 2017.
Mr Leo said that the defendant converted the money to personal use.

The prosecutor added that Mr Badamasi gave the victim biscuits, N100 and instructed him not to tell anyone about what had transpired.
