Bandits launched a coordinated attack on the PMF Camp at Nuku village, and fatally shot five forest guards, the command spokesman said.
He urged members of the public to remain vigilant.
The incident occurred less than 24 hours after suspected bandits invaded an ECWA Church in the Omugo community in Kwara.
The ADC party raised the alarm over terrorists taking up territories in Kwara State, fearing they could overrun South-West states with time.
“Seventy-five local Muslims were massacred simply for refusing to surrender to extremists who preached a strange doctrine,” stated the Kwara government.
Ms Ejire-Adeyemi said, “The information available to the command is that efforts are ongoing to ascertain the number of casualties at the moment.”
This was contained in a statement issued by the command spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, on Sunday in Ilorin.
The suspects attacked a pregnant woman and her husband in their home, NSCDC spokesperson said.
Magistrate Aminat Issa of an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court gave the order on Friday after the police arraigned the suspect.
