“With rising costs of food, transport, and housing, we request the reconvening of the state minimum wage committee,” he said.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, represented by Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta, officially received the facilities on Tuesday at Gyawana, Lamurde Local Government Area.
The government identified the suspected trafficking leader as Ngozi Abdulwahab.
Mr Maiha described the gesture as an expression of unity and compassion.
Mr Fintiri urged the committee to identify measures to bring succour to the affected communities.
Mr Fintiri said the initiative was part of efforts to strengthen the agricultural value chain, ensure food security, promote industrialisation, and boost export potential in the state.
Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta said that over 1,000 members of the cooperative societies, mostly women, would benefit directly from the gesture.
The commodities include 462 metric tons of maize, 199.5 metric tons of millet, and 546 tons of sorghum.
She called on parents and caregivers to ensure that their eligible children, aged 0-59 months, participate in the exercise.
One of the beneficiaries, Michael Dimas, who spoke on behalf of others, thanked the government for the gesture.
