Mr Idris-Abdullahi stated that the suspects were apprehended shortly after committing the offence in Yunfawa village, Dawakin Tofa LGA.
Mr Sabu`i said the council has an agreement with the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) to pay about N2 million for electricity every month.
He said that the institution relied heavily on power to supply water, which has now become a serious issue.

According to him, the management of the board on Friday visited the affected banks and agencies to inform them of the actions to be taken for failure to settle the debt.

“TCN wheels electricity to Kano DisCo with 40 megawatts, and now the wheeled energy has reached 140 megawatts, and more is expected in the next few hours.”
