“Anyone recruited or approached by the group should disengage immediately and report to security agencies or the nearest Hisbah office,” the Kano government said.
Health commissioner Abubakar Labaran disclosed this at a media briefing on Monday to commemorate the 2025 World AIDS Day.
The Kano government noted that the move “is expected to boost economic activities, create jobs, and attract investments”.
“The government’s directive aims to ensure a thorough examination of the petitions and promote peace within the state’s religious communities,” said the statement.
The centres will serve specific communities, with the Kano Municipal centre covering areas such as Kofarmata and the Gwale centre covering Dorayi and Gwale, among others
Mr Hashim said the policy would serve as a roadmap for climate action in the state.
The health commissioner urged mothers and food handlers to ensure the safe preparation of meat to prevent food-borne illnesses.
Mr Makoda said Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration inherited a “failed and decayed education system.”
