The Kano Pillars on Tuesday defeated Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) 82-64 to clinch the third position in the 2021 Super Eight Men’s Basketball Premier League.
Only one team will represent Nigeria in the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
A total of 21 teams, 10 female and 11 male, participated in the league which ran from October 23 to November 3.
“We will look forward to the last match which we must win to lift up the trophy,” the coach said.
Niger United is first on the league table with 19 points from six matches and lost only a game.
Kano Pillars Football Club has signed a new jersey sponsorship deal worth N14 million with AMMASCO Oil.
The new sign-ups would provide the team with the steel that was lacking in the last season.
The 2020/2021 season of the NPFL is scheduled to start on Sunday 15th November, 2020.
