The Nigerian Defence Academy on Thursday announced plans to conduct a live firing exercise for cadets of the 76 Regular Course.

The Nigerian Defence Academy has advised residents of Afaka, Kauya, and Mando to avoid its open range from Tuesday to November 7.
The Nigerian Defence Academy has warned the residents of Afaka, Kauya, and Mando in Kaduna to steer clear of its open range during an upcoming shooting exercise.
“The general public is advised to avoid trespassing in the general area throughout the period of the exercise.’’
“The NDA assures the general public that all necessary safety measures have been put in place for the successful conduct of the exercise.”
He disclosed that the exercises were scheduled for November 20 and 30 at NDA Open Range Afaka.
He disclosed that the exercise was expected to begin from June 19 to 22.
“Residents of the area not to panic on hearing gunshot sounds during the period of the exercise.”
The Army asked residents of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya and Afaka to stay clear of the range area and not to panic.
