NANAll passengers injured in the June 8 train crash on the Warri-Itakpe route have been treated and discharged from the hospital.
Three passengers were confirmed dead following the derailment of a train in Warri–Itakpe on Monday.
Mr Opeifa said that the efforts of the workers had continued to sustain the operations of the NRC.
He described the development as disturbing and a direct attack on critical national infrastructure.
According to him, the railway is a critical national asset.
Mr Opeifa said rails, sleepers, signal poles, billboards and fences belonging to NRC tenants along the corridor were destroyed and carted away.
Mr Opeifa decried increasing rate of vandalism of railway infrastructure nationwide.
He said if the federal government can invest more in local engineers, the country will save billions of dollars.
Mr Opeifa called on the state government to support the federal government by ensuring accessible roads to train terminals in their states.
