Kyrgyzstan authorities say they opened a criminal case into NEXT TV over posts on social media claiming the country had agreed to provide military assistance to Russia in Ukraine.
Last Friday, the president issued a shoot-to-kill order against protesters threatening his government’s survival.
At least 719 people were being treated in hospitals on Sunday, 83 of them in critical condition, official said.
The president said the protesters were “criminals and murderers” sent from abroad to destabilise his government.
A 27-year old woman from Kazakhstan gave birth to one of the babies after she was recruited by one of the suspects.
