“They have been here in Kebbi doing business in mineral resources, especially in the area of lithium,” said the Kebbi governor.
On Thursday, the Kebbi government donated N20 million to traders affected by the fire outbreak at Argungu in Argungu LGA.
“And that most of the states have established the commission while Kebbi is one of the few states yet to do so.”
“If any of them is found to have sold the vehicle or are not using it for the purpose it was meant for, the person will be sacked,” the governor warned.
“It’s expected that rice millers in the state will start producing fortified rice, and it will be integrated into the school feeding programme.”
According to him, the contract covers a distance of about 5.2 kilometres in the area.
The Kebbi government has sought the support and cooperation of IPMAN to reduce the hardships its citizens face following fuel scarcity.
“This suspension is a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring the safety of both mining workers and local communities,” he said.
“We have a situation where thousands of displaced persons from the attacked areas trooped into this village and other surrounding villages for safety.”
Mr Idris assured security agencies of government support as they push to secure the state and generate actionable intelligence to deal with bandits and other criminal elements.
