He further added that those residents seeking information about his whereabouts are merely mischief makers.
The clash resulted from the siege laid on the PDP secretariat along the popular Alagbaka road in Akure by security agents.
The planned protest followed the continued absence of Mr Akeredolu from the state since his return from a medical trip abroad.
“PDP cannot be extinct, there are no such signs. And it will never be,” he added.
The opposition party lamented that the killings have made nonsense of the marginal gains recorded by the local security outfit since its formation.
The defectors said their decision was due to the internal wranglings affecting the party at the national level.
The governing APC in Ondo has described the allegation as “laughable”, noting that the PDP was only “jittery” ahead of the 2023 election.
The committees were set up to douse tension recorded during and after the state PDP’s primary elections of May 22 and May 23.
PDP says it will, on behalf of Eyitayo Jegede, contest at the Supreme Court the Appeal Court judgment dismissing the petition against the declaration of Rotimi Akeredolu as governor.
