Former PDP spokesman in Ondo, Kennedy Peretei, has slammed the opposition party for being disorganised and rudderless
The state chairman of the APC, Ade Adetimehin, will officially receive the defectors at an event slated for next Wednesday.
Mr Peretei described the emergence of the coalition as necessary and timely, saying the PDP structures have been completely dissolved into the ADC.
The PDP accused the state APC chairman, Ade Adetimehin, of submitting lists of party members to serve as presiding and assistant presiding officers for the poll.
“The people of Edo State could never have elected a man who promised to bring ‘insecurity to Edo State’,” PDP said.
This was announced in a statement on Wednesday in Akure by Kennedy Peretei, Ondo PDP spokesman.
The PDP noted that the APC primary held on Saturday was a travesty of the democratic process and lacked credibility.
“Our problem is that we always work against one another during the election.’’
“The people’s votes must count and any attempt to rig the election will be resisted.’’
According to a statement in Akure, the party’s State Working Committee (SWC) suspended Mr Makinde on Thursday.
