Voters will go to the polls in Makerfield on Thursday in what could be one of the most consequential by-elections in British political history.
The governor congratulated the candidates who emerged from the primaries.
Mr Abubakar-Sadiq noted that non-sensitive election materials had been received and distributed to the participating local government areas.
Mr Ezeh said no opposition party currently possessed the political strength to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress on its own.
Approximately 1.06 million voters are registered across all 16 local government areas of Ekiti State.
The party also unveiled candidates for the three senatorial districts, eight House of Representatives seats and 25 House of Assembly constituencies.
“His leadership, intellectual depth and proven commitment to good governance embody the vision of competent leadership that Nigeria urgently requires,” he said.
The Labour Party has congratulated Governor Alex Otti on his third anniversary in office, saying that he remains the “finest outcome” of the party’s 2023 electoral outing.
The Labour Party has called on leaders at all levels to govern with justice, fairness, equity and empathy in line with the teachings of Islam.
He said the party faithful affirmed Mr Maku’s candidacy for the by-election.
