Messrs Abubakar and Obi are outspoken critics of Mr Tinubu’s government’s “uninformed” handling of the economy.
Mr Obi, in a series of tweets on the X microblogging app on Thursday, commiserated with the families of the slain soldiers.
“INEC is fighting a proxy war on behalf of Tinubu, which a neutral body should not do,” asserted Mr Abubakar’s lawyer.
“Ohanaeze is not in a hurry to recognise Tinubu as the President-elect because any house built on a faulty foundation is bound to collapse.”
The motion exparte, dated March 2, 2023, was lodged at the Presidential Election Petition Court.
