He said 13 ships had arrived at the ports and waiting to berth.
He said that the figure reflects an improved efficiency around port access.
The NPA said eight expected vessels would berth with containers of different goods.
The authority said that two ships had arrived the port and were waiting to berth with bulk soya bean and wheat bran.
The rest of the ships are carrying bulk salt, containers, bulk sugar, sulphur, bulk wheat, bulk urea, palm oleum and frozen fish.
The authority added that three other ships had arrived at the ports, and were waiting to berth with containers and petrol.
The authority said that 15 other ships were expected to arrive at the port between May 19 and May 28.
The ships were expected to arrive at the Lagos Ports Complex from April 21 to April 30.
The authority said that 26 other ships were expected to arrive at the port between March 23 to April 10.
