NPA says at least 15 ships are waiting to berth at the Lagos ports amid gruelling queues for petrol across the country occasioned by scarcity.
In its ”Daily Shipping Position,” NPA said two expected vessels would berth with diesel.
The NPA said the three ships were expected to berth with crude oil, bulk urea and diesel.
On Wednesday, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said 16 ships were waiting to berth at the Lagos ports.
“Three vessels are also waiting to berth with crude oil and cargo,” it said.
The expected items include bulk sugar, frozen fish, general cargo, bulk wheat and petrol.
Items expected at the ports are sugar, frozen fish, general cargo, gypsum, wheat, container, salt, butane gas and soya bean meal.
The NPA also stated that 18 ships were already discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, petrol, frozen fish, container, bulk urea, ethanol and butane gas at the ports.
Mr Sambo assured that Sukuk IV would rehabilitate the dilapidated access road to the Onne Port.
The authority also said seven other ships had arrived at the ports waiting to berth with bulk wheat, frozen fish and petrol.
