“They are currently undergoing profiling and immigration-related checks to determine their legal status and whether any laws have been violated,” the source said.
The suspects were arrested during a routine stop-and-search operation on Iyana Ipaja Road.
The command spokesperson said investigations are ongoing and updates will be made public.
The police identified the victim as Adedipe Adeyinkan, popularly known as “Agali.”
The command said, “The command confirms that the incident captured in the viral video is under investigation.”
The victim was shot at WAEC Bus Stop, Ebute Metta.
He said the officers ordered him into their vehicle to go prove his innocence at the station.
Few hours into the protest, cops fired teargas canisters at the demonstrators, injuring some, arresting others and dispersing the procession.
The pastor is to report to the SCID Panti by 10:00 a.m. today.
He said that additional patrols, stop-and-search points, response units and security posts had been activated across the state.
