Mr Bakare-Oki called on residents and visitors to cooperate fully with traffic officials.
Mr Jimoh advised residents to plan their journeys, verify vehicle registration numbers, and avoid suspicious vehicles.
The LASTMA boss said the remains of the deceased were evacuated from the scene by officials for further necessary procedures.
Mr Bakare-Oki said engineers had been working for four to five hours, causing traffic congestion.
Mr Bakare-Oki said the injured were rushed to nearby Benic Special Hospital.
He said the large-scale clearance operation was meticulously coordinated through a synergy of inter-governmental agencies.
According to him, the Ijora under-bridge axis had long served as a criminal enclave, accommodating miscreants.
He expressed satisfaction that no complaints had been recorded against the conduct of LASTMA personnel.
“The remains of the deceased were deposited at the FMC morgue, pending formal identification by their bereaved families,” he said.
