The commissioner restated the state government’s commitment to enforce the speed limit.
He urged motorists to obey every traffic sign.
LASTMA spokesperson Adebayo Taofiq noted that the multiple fatal accident occurred at Ketu, by Demurin Junction inward Kosofe, Lagos, around 6:45 a.m.
“Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway and will be conducted with due diligence,” Ms Adeseye said.
Mr Taofiq also said the general manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, warned truck owners and drivers to always observe speed limits.
The authorities frowned upon the demeaning manner in which movie and skit makers portray LASTMA in their movies and skits.
He said a preliminary investigation revealed that the truck driver allegedly lost control due to a brake failure and rammed into the victim.
He confirmed further that the exercise was carried out after several warnings to both private and commercial bus drivers.
“While these two (2) motorcycle passengers died instantly, the rider later died at a hospital around Satellites Town.”
In a press statement on the agency’s X, its spokesperson, Adebayo Taofiq, stated that the accident resulted from overspeeding.
