The suspects were alleged to have extorted motorists on the Aboru and Abule-Egba axis of the Abeokuta Expressway.
He expressed concern over persistent disregard for environmental and traffic regulations by some traders.
The transport ministry’s spokeswoman, Bolanle Ogunlola, said this in a statement on Tuesday.
Mr Gbadeyan assured residents of the task force’s commitment to maintaining safety and order.
He assured that the nabbed suspects will be charged to court accordingly.
Mr Osiyemi explained that the areas visited included Alakija, Iyana-Iba, Festac, and Mile 2, as well as Berger Suya inward Mile 2 Oke.
She said that enforcement will be a continuous exercise.
The commissioner said that the agency carried out the operation on Tuesday.
Mr Gbadeyan noted that the officials were found guilty of stealing mobile phones from the scene.
The commissioner said that the task force officials demolished makeshift shanties used for drug activities in the area.
