The accident involved a fully loaded container truck with registration number JJJ 125 and three tricycles.
LASEMA said in a statement on Sunday that the 20-ft container fell on a commercial vehicle after it “lost control.”
Preliminary investigation revealed that a commercial bus had a brake failure and ran into a petrol tanker while on motion.
The traffic management agency said its officials were attacked with dangerous weapons, including machetes, iron, broken bottles, and local charms.
A commercial vehicle used for the robbery operation at the Lekki-Ajah area was also impounded and handed over to the state police.
The unregistered Honda car was driving against traffic when it was impounded.
