The magistrates resumed strike on February 8 over alleged welfare issues and the state government’s non-fulfilment of promises made in 2023.
“Rent allowances owed to some magistrates have remained unpaid for several years, compounding their hardship,” stated Mr Onah.
“I think men will take it more seriously when you come up with such legislation. I hope a man in the House of Reps or Senate sponsors a bill like that.”
Mrs Falana said that the state government had concluded plans for the construction of homes for adolescents and adults, especially victims of domestic violence.
The victim was killed while trying to separate the defendant and his brother during a fight.
