Mr Akume commended members of the board.
Mr Wike called on political associates to stand firmly by Mr Mpigi’s loved ones.
“We believe that everybody with a sincere interest in the progress of the party should be ready to join,” Mr Abe said.
Tonye Cole, the governorship candidate of the APC, polled 95,274 votes to come second.
Eleven per cent proposed to vote for Senator Magnus Abe of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) who fell in second place, adding that Tonye Cole of the APC candidate was third with 10 per cent.
The group asked security agencies to investigate and prosecute the perpetrators and sponsors.
The state leadership of the party has since 2018 suffered critical internal crises that has cost it its chance at the gubernatorial election.
“We must be peaceful in our conduct before, during and after the elections, and not to harass anybody,” said Mr Abe.
Tonye Cole, a governorship aspirant of the APC in Rivers, has won the party’s guber primary election held on Thursday in Port Harcourt.
Gubernatorial aspirant in Rivers, Magnus Abe, said he did not participate in the party’s Thursday governorship primary because it was a charade.
