“Overall, the armed forces continue to fight admirably in defeating terrorists and their cohorts across the country,” the DHQ spokesman said.
He said during the week under review, troops arrested 224 persons.
Mr Buba said the operations were launched on Mr Turji’s camps in Sokoto and Zamfara states between Monday and Tuesday.
Mr Buba added that the operation was conducted on January 17 along the Shinkafi, Kagara, Fakai, Moriki, Maiwa, and Chindo axis.
Mr Buba said that the troops recovered 219 assorted weapons and 2,871 rounds of ammunition.
The troops also recovered 631,709 litres of stolen crude oil.
Mr Buba said troops significantly degraded the fighting capabilities of terrorists, recording 16,171 surrendered terrorist combatants and their families.
