Mr Buba said the troops also rescued 4,488 kidnapped hostages.
The troops also apprehended 42 suspected oil thieves in the region.
He added that the troops recovered 72 assorted weapons and 338 assorted ammunition as well as rescued 80 kidnapped hostages during the week.
“The armed forces is hunting down prominent terrorist leaders.’’
The Nigerian military has, again, expressed regrets over the drone attack that killed and injured many people at Tudun Biri village in Kaduna.
“The Nigerian military does its best at all times to distinguish between civilians and terrorists.’’
Mr Buba said one of the injured police escorts died shortly on arrival at the Specialists Hospital Damaturu.
The troops arrested 49 oil thieves and rescued 182 kidnap victims.
“All recovered items, arrested suspects and rescued hostages were handed over to the relevant authorities for further action,” he added.
He explained that the operations were carried out in Cross River, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa.
