He said the troops neutralised 18 terrorists, arrested 13 suspects and rescued 53 kidnapped hostages during the week.
According to him, troops are taking the fight to the terrorists and making significant strides each passing day.
He said the aim was to eliminate the terrorists and the infrastructure that supports their activities.
Mr Buba said the troops recovered 97 assorted weapons and 3,117 assorted ammunition during the week.
Mr Buba said that the rescued hostages had been handed over to the Sokoto State Government for further action.
Mr Bubba said the troops of Operation Hadin Kai neutralised 70 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, arrested 31 others and rescued 27 kidnapped hostages in the North-East.
The defence spokesperson said the armed forces would continue to combat the criminals.
Mr Buba said the troops also arrested 44 perpetrators of oil theft and rescued 71 kidnapped hostages.
“We call on the public to continue to act responsibly and be forthcoming for the progress of our nation.”
Mr Buba said the bandits had wreaked havoc before troops arrived at the other villages.
