Mr Wike directed Messrs Hayyo and Ango to resume duty with immediate effect.
Mr Ango was appointed acting chairman of FCT-IRS in August 2024.
Mr Ango said the FCTA was investing in technology to enhance revenue generation and collection.
Mr Sumaila said that filing annual returns of income from all sources was mandatory for all taxpayers.
Mr Ango stated that the law mandates every person, whether in employment or not, to file their annual income tax returns by March 31 every year.
He argued that most suspects being investigated by EFCC for financial crimes were not tax compliant.
According to him, the best form of compliance is voluntary.
FCT-IRS has created a dedicated unit to tax more than 10,000 high-net-worth individuals in Abuja.
The move, according to him, is to boost internally generated revenue (IGR) in the FCT.
“We believe our efforts are making a significant contribution to domestic revenue mobilisation,” said NFIU.
