Communications and digital economy minister Isa Pantami has ordered NCC to review the country’s telecom operators’ licences.
Mr Pantami further stated that “a robust SIM Identity Management Solution should be deployed for effective implementation.”
This move is part of the NCC’s ‘Revised National Identity Policy for SIM Card Registration,’ ordered by Mr Pantami with President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval.
The bandits also said some police officers have been a part of the conspiracy that has fueled insecurity across Nigeria.
“The Honourable Minister, Dr Pantami, was presented with the Certificate of Nomination (sic) in his office today, while the award will be presented on a later date.”
The ACF, however, thanked Nigerians who risked their lives in the delicate negotiating process to free those held hostages by bandits.
Nigerians continue to accuse Mr Pantami for refusing to atone and publicly denounce his connection with the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, and Boko Haram.
Mr Pantami and his colleagues also concluded that they “shall use our men who are in the military to help us bring arms and ammunition into Kaduna.”
“First of all, issues associated with the safety of this technology have been adequately addressed. Nigerians have been sensitised on the safety of this technology.”
Mr Pantami continues to face avalanche of criticisms amid calls for his resignation following Peoples Gazette’s reports of his avowed support for terrorist groups.
