Ms Tunwase said that IBEDC had been confronted with the escalating cases of vandalism.
“The ministry expects power supply to have improved across the country, as opposed to the current experience in some regions.”

He disclosed that the N450 billion budgeted for electricity was far too small to cover the N1.3 trillion debt burden owed to GenCos.
He said that the main problem of the sector was liquidity and funding.
“The major part of it is the shortage in gas supply to these installations, which was why I needed to see these plants myself.”
“We acknowledge the current unsustainable situation, and we expect a turnaround immediately,” he stated.
