Mr Utsev emphasised the importance of community involvement in managing water and sanitation infrastructure.
“The signs of climate change are becoming more distinct, and the time for climate action is now,” said Mr Utsev.
Mr Goronyo made this pledge when a delegation from the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority visited him in Abuja.

The minister assured farmers that the Federal Government was ready to support them.
The strategy was unveiled at an event commemorating 2023 World Toilet Day under the theme ‘Accelerating Change’ on Tuesday in Abuja.
The minister visited the Oyan dam and the flooded Isheri area during the tour.
Mr Utsev said the roadmap was an opportunity to change the poor narrative of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) indices in the country.
The minister said the commercialisation of the basins would enable them to generate increased revenues for the federal government.
Ms Khan said that for Nigeria to achieve the roadmap for the WASH sector, the funding gaps must be closed.
