Action of the billionaire businessman’s sons was said to have violated Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007.
“The policemen who demanded money before they could attend to the case have been arrested and kept in detention for disciplinary action,” said Mr Adejobi.
“Raining direct curses on someone online is cyberbullying, not expression of freedom or criticism,” said the police.
Mr Adejobi said the investigation is ongoing while exhibits recovered from the suspects are being scientifically analysed.
The IGP said the security measure is to ensure a peaceful, transparent, and credible exercise.
The DJ allegedly committed the crime after buying expensive drinks at the restaurant.
On Monday, the police assured that operatives would provide adequate security for all, irrespective of their affiliations.
In a press release on Friday, the police said the operation marked a significant breakthrough in its fight against oil theft, illegal bunkering and economic sabotage.
The Force Spokesperson, Mr Adejobi stated that the policemen were attached to zone 16 command in Yenagoa.
Mr Adejobi, however, assured that no criminal will go unpunished.
