The ICPC told Peoples Gazette on Tuesday that Mr Adekeye’s claim was a lie.
Mr El-Rufai is being grilled over alleged fraud during his tenure as governor from 2015 to 2023.
It also disclosed that the committee comprises nominees of the outgoing El-Rufai-administration and Mr Sani, the governor-elect.
The state government said the assistance was its response to the hardship brought about by the naira scarcity.
“Circulating the old N200 notes alone would not be sufficient to relieve widespread human suffering in Kaduna State, and indeed in Nigeria today,” the Kaduna governor said.
