The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission has pledged urgent action to address water shortages in Dukku by upgrading existing infrastructure.
The managing director explained that the safety jackets would largely be distributed to the fish farmers in the state.

In his speech, Governor Umaru Bago of Niger commended N-HYPPADEC for its corporate social responsibility initiatives in the state.
He pointed out that the success of the exercise would determine the stake of the Nasarawa State communities in the commission programme.
